Rise and Flow

Dear Friend,

The season of birth and growth is upon most of us in the Northern Hemisphere.

To remain in harmony, the ancient Chinese wisdom of the Dao, known as The Way, has many insights, some of which I have shared below.

We are cyclical beings and always changing, always moving. Such is our nature. Any resistance to that creates stagnation. As we evolve and take action according to what is aligned for ourself rather than follow what we have been made to believe, we may experience internal friction and external conflict between what was and what is now. Be kind to yourself through these transitions.

A key virtue from the ancient Indian Vedas is the art of non-violence and applies to all living beings. Known as Ahimsa, it simply implies that we do no harm to self or others. This is compassion, this is love and a value for life.

Walk the beauty way and remember love.

With love in all ways.Dipika 🧡

Spring – the season of birth

With each season, there is a shift in the circulation of life force through the rivers of our meridians and our organs.  The weather outside and the weather inside of you mirror and co-regulate. These moving cycles give us the opportunity to focus on different parts of ourselves throughout the year on many levels.

spring is the season of wood

the time of the liver

the time of rising energy

the liver is responsible for the smooth flow of Qi in your meridians of light

and affects your physical and emotional activity

anger, frustration, lethargy, and resentment are a sign liver energy is stuck

spring is a time to cleanse and renew

to enjoy a sauna to aid detoxification

to eat more leafy greens

to garden and be in nature

to exercise and move your body

to stretch and walk barefoot

the liver controls the tendons

if you are feeling stiffness and pain, lack of flexibility and strength,

it is a sign liver energy is sluggish
